November 25, 2013 | PHOTO SET: Marian Rivera joins GMA Kapuso Foundation Relief Operations in Northern Cebu

Help is hope.
The devastation brought about by super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) may continue to bring heartaches and tears, but the Filipino spirit will remain indestructible. Since Yolanda devastated the Visayas, the team was able to reach far-flung coastal and mountainous communities of Bogo, Borbon, Daanbantayan, Medellin, San Remigio, Sogod and Tabuelan in Northern Cebu. We have also crossed waters to reach the islands of Bantayan, Camotes and Carnaza. The other day, we were at a tiny island called Hilantagaan. With the help of volunteers and generous donors from different parts of the Philippines (Davao, Manila, Bicol, etc) and abroad, GMA TV Central and Eastern Visayas (Cebu Station) was able to bring immediate help to 45,929 families in Northern Cebu for the first time. These photos: Marian Rivera joined our team to distribute relief goods for 200 families in the community of Managasi. 250 families have been served in the community of Sambag at the Municipality of Tabogon with immediate help for the first time last 25 November.
